During a Slimming session you must monitor the temperature graph carefully (in the bottom left portion of the screen) and keep the wand in the +4 to -4C range for the duration of the cold portion of the session.
A temperature above +4C will not give an effective session, while a temperature below -4C applied for an extended period can cause irritations, reactions, and numbness.
What to do if you are having difficulty cooling a client down to the target range:
- Go slower
- Add gel
- Make sure you are treating a localized area
- Make sure the wand is flush to the skin and not lifting off during your technique
What to do if you are cooling a client down past the target range:
- Extend your gesture to a larger area
- Go faster
- Warm the area with your hands
